Hydrophilic PTFE pleated filter cartridge is a high‑precision filtration element specially developed for high‑purity fluids such as lithium‑ion battery electrolytes. Adopting hydrophilic modified PTFE microporous membrane and all‑PP hot‑melt structure, it is designed for new energy lithium battery manufacturing, effectively removing particles and metallic impurities in electrolytes to ensure battery safety and cycle life.

Material & Structure

Filter Membrane: 100% pure PTFE with hydrophilic modification, high porosity, no fiber shedding, metal ion leaching <0.1ppb, avoiding secondary contamination of electrolytes.

Support/Support Layer/Core/End Caps: Food‑grade polypropylene (PP), hot‑melt welded without adhesives, high temperature and solvent resistance, stable structure.

Seals: Optional FKM, EPDM, FEP‑encapsulated gaskets, compatible with electrolyte systems and leak‑proof.

Key Performance

Filtration Rating: 0.1/0.22/0.45μm available; retention efficiency for particles >0.5μm reaches 99.99%, meeting electrolyte particle standards (<5 particles/mL).

Chemical Compatibility: Resists electrolyte solvents including DMC, EC; no swelling or degradation after long‑term immersion.

Flux & Service Life: Pleated structure provides large filtration area; flux is about 30% higher than PVDF cartridges, with high dirt‑holding capacity for high‑flow production lines.

Hydrophilicity: No pre‑wetting needed; direct wetting by water or electrolytes for fast start‑up and continuous operation.

Temperature & Pressure Resistance: Max operating temperature 90°C; forward pressure resistance 4.2bar at 25°C; suitable for in‑line steam sterilization.

Applications for Lithium Batteries

Mainly used for final filtration of battery electrolytes, precision filtration before injection, and electrode sheet cleaning solution filtration. It removes undissolved LiPF6 particles, metal debris and colloidal impurities, reduces short‑circuit risks, and improves capacity consistency and cycle life (from 2000 to 2500 cycles).
