Volvo replacement filters contain a specially produced, densely pleated and embossedfilter paper. It is made from fine and coarse cellulose fibers, which provide the correct efficiency and capacity. The crimped joint in the filter paper on a Volvo replacement filter is particularly effective, producing a 100% seal along its full length.
The robust outer casing of the Volvo replacement Long Life Oil Filter is made by 0.75 mm corrosion protected sheet steel (0.63 mm standard filter) in order to resist damage when being fitted. The Volvo replacement filter has a special grip on the bottom of the canister.
The top rubber gasket between the filter and oil filter housing is made of AEM, which is superior to the more common NBR.
