Air filter is a device for removing particulate impurities in the air. When piston machines (internal combustion engines, reciprocating compressors, etc.) work, if the inhaled air contains dirt and other impurities, the wear of parts will be aggravated, so air filters must be installed. The air filter consists of a filter element and a housing. The main requirements of the air filter are high filtering efficiency, low flow resistance, and can be used continuously for a long time without maintenance.

The air compressor filter is composed of an air filter assembly and a filter element, which is externally connected to the air inlet valve of the air compressor through connectors and threaded pipes to filter dust, particles and other impurities entering the air. Different air compressor models can choose the air filter to be installed according to the size of the air intake.

Compressed air leaving your air compressor may have particulate, oil mist or other contaminants present. Even air downstream of compressed air dryers or air receivers may encounter particulate or develop condensate within piping before the point of use. Different use requirements and different contaminants require different filters. It is recommended that all compressed air systems have appropriate filtration installed before point of use.
